Black Mountain

Black Mountain is a Free Form clay body with a sandy dark brown color in oxidation. It’s well suited for both throwing and handbuilding, making it a versatile option for ceramic artists.

Bruce's White

Bruce’s White is a Free Form clay body that fires to a smooth, creamy white. Highly versatile and well-suited for all forms of creating, it’s a reliable choice for both handbuilding and throwing. Its balance of quality and affordability makes it especially popular in schools and classrooms.

Bubblegum

Bubblegum is a Free Form clay body that fires to a playful pink tone at low fire — true to its name. As our most affordable clay body, it’s an excellent choice for beginners and is widely recommended for schools thanks to its low price point. Suitable for both handbuilding and throwing.

OJR

OJR (Old Joe’s Red) is a Free Form clay body that fires to a warm terracotta color in oxidation. Excellent for both throwing and handbuilding, it’s a reliable choice for functional ware or sculptural work.

WC370 - Amador

An outstanding all-purpose clay with a warm orange-brown hue. Moist and durable, it contains fine sand and is resistant to cracking during firing. Affordable and reliable, it’s perfect for both professionals and students.

WC373 - Dark Brown

A medium-coarse dark clay with 60 mesh sand, suitable for various forming techniques. Fires deep brown in reduction and warm brown in oxidation.

WC379 - B Mix Δ10

A premier white stoneware with a smooth, porcelain-like texture that’s a pleasure to throw and form. It fires to a gray-white color in reduction and is recommended for throwing as an affordable alternative to true porcelain.

WC381 - Big White

A gray-white clay with excellent throwing properties, enhanced by 60 mesh sand and 30–60 mesh grog for added strength. Suitable for throwing, handbuilding, and sculpture, it fires to a gray tone in reduction.

WC382 - Half & Half Δ10

This clay combines white stoneware and porcelain in equal parts, creating a very throwable white body with a light gray-white tint in reduction. Made with fine sand, it’s ideal for throwing and handbuilding.

WC384 - Dave's Porcelain

An outstanding throwing body, ideal for thin walls and larger pieces. Excellent for slab work and any project requiring a vitreous clay. Fires light gray.

WC389 - WSO

A light gray clay body with fine sand that fires to gray-white in reduction. It remains slightly open even at Cone 10, so care is advised when using it for functional ware. Recommended for sculpture, but also suitable for throwing and handbuilding.

WC631 - #550 Porcelain

Known as Miller, this porcelain is made primarily from English Grolleg and enhanced with plasticizers to be the finest translucent porcelain available — perfect for throwing, thin slab work, and handbuilding. It’s the go-to “standard” porcelain.

WC843 - Soldate 60

This clay features finer 60 mesh sand compared to traditional Soldate clay, offering a medium-coarse texture. Its gray raw color and high sand content make it ideal for large thrown pieces and sculptural forms.
